The Saturn division of General Motors ended in 2010. General Motors went bankrupt during this period and ended their Pontiac and Saturn divisions, as part of their bankruptcy liquidation process.

Complaint on the saturn sky convertible top

The frame that brings the convertible top up has tore a tear on both sides of the top underneath has not gone thru yet but it will eventually. 2 places said it could not be fixed. Saturn should of had a recall on this alot of people are having this same issue. I may have to put a new top on it for $2,000 which is ridiculous since top is like brand new

Cannot be replace my head phone without invoice.

Hello Saturn, I was landed in germany few months ago and heard about saturn that they are selling great products of electronincs and more importantly it is reliable. I bought a headphone few weeks before and it is not working. I tried to approach reception of SATURN to address this and unfortunately i am not having the invoice. My curiousness is not about I am not satisfied. Eventhough i am not having the invoice, the box would have the electronic code and it is easy to check whether i bought from that shop or not in this digital era. I checked this to the decision making person available in SATURN market and he replied "This will not work, we cannot sure you may buy it from other shops". i feel wierd that this paperless world really needs the invoice. And one more, if i am not having the physical invoice there is no possibility to get my service appropriately from your shop. I guess I am right. Thanks, Amazon Kalimuthu +491521****039

If your missing key is coded (microchip attached to key) then you'll have to go to a General Motors dealer (Chevvrolet, Buick or Cadillac) to have a new one made. Unfortunately it will be costly.

Cracked 3,5,R waveplate

I am writing to let you know how disappointed I have been with my 2009 Saturn Outlook, but even more so by the lack of customer service from GM on a known transmission issue. My car was having trouble shifting into 3rd and stopped going into reverse. I took it in to...

Two Saturns, Best Cars Ever

I have two of the REAL Saturns, the ones from the 1990s. My first one is a beautiful Forest Green 1999 SL2. It now has 291,000 miles. It is a hardy little car. It is fun to drive. It is cheap to repair (replaced entire valve cover gasket myself: $25). It is still in great shape, and it really is my baby. It has been rear-ended twice, both times it was completely unaffected, yet the other car had to be towed. It was T-boned by a 7,000 lb. Dodge pickup with a 32' foot trailer in a parking lot, hitting it hard enough to put my car on two wheels, yet it had no dent at all. It has been through a huge flood with no effect on the car, even pulling small pickups out of the deeper areas. Just today, it pushed a '98 Honda Civic 100 feet up a snowy hill and into a snow-covered parking lot without even flinching. It is amazing in the snow, rain, or anything you will ever encounter short of off-roading. I installed a hitch on it last summer, and it pulls a small trailer brilliantly. My second Saturn is a 1993 SW2 (wagon). It has 234,000 miles, but the transmission was ruined by the previous owner hitting a huge rock, which cracked the housing. This one is my project car. If you ever have an issue with your Saturn, there are multiple online forums that can save your car. There are few downsides, but if you do get an older Saturn, it can be hard to find a mechanic who actually knows how to work on them. Thankfully, in my area there is a mechanic who used to work for Saturn and was trained by them, so if I ever have a problem I can't fix, I will take it to him, as I have previous experience with him on other cars.

I take it in and pay for diagnosis for nothing again because I was told problem was fixed but after getting my cat and coming home it wont start. *** if you ask me. I never had problems like this with honda buick or dodge. maybe its time to look into vehicles made by competition.

Did not inform me of a Saturn Ion recall problem

My wife noticed a severe gas smell in the Saturn Ion. I informed her to immediately take it to our independent auto repair person locally. Felt it was too dangerous to drive and there is no Saturn dealer available. It was the fuel system gasoline delivery fuel pump which we had repaired immediately. After further research I find there was a recall which was to begin on or before February 4, 2010. This vehicle was purchased by me on Feb 1, 2007 with approx 28,00 miles on it. Mileage is now 59,700. Feel i should be reimbursed by General motors. You failed to notify us. I even purchased the additional service contract plus took it into a Saturn dealer for regular maintenance. We were never informed of this problem.

Saturn Transmissions faulty

I bought a Saturn 2008 in March of 2011 and exactly 2 years to the day my transmission went out with no warning, and I purchased an extended warranty for mind you 1,595 dollars. I have seen where the transmissions on these Satruns are known for the bad transmissions , I would like to know why I was not advised of the defect.. my so called warranty was only valid for 75000 miles or 5 years. I was on a trip to kansas which I turn 80000 miles on this trip so my warranty was no good .. and now I am faced with a car that I have to pay $2500 to replace the transmission and still pay $1400 for a car I cannot drive. that is only worth $8000.00 , what a shame that I will never recommend a GM product to anyone...

Could not fix problem

this has been going on for about three winters. I have a Saturn Ion 2003 and it seems that every time it gets cold out side the car will not start it takes several tries and about ten minutes then it starts very inconvenient the service at Bordentown Saturn could not find the problem. But that was not the first time I had a problem with them Several years back the car lights would flicker on and off by themselves no one had an answer for me that time either. I has to start using the key and it finally stopped happening I only brought a Saturn because they will suppose to be reliable cars I'm surly questioning that now.

You need to have them change the ignition switch - apparently GM manufactured them with a synthetic oil that becomes gummy in cold weather and interferes with the car starting. Had this problem researched it, auto repair place couldn't figure it out. Went to dealer and told them about it, changed it and it has worked fine ever since.

Saturn headlight problem

Second replacement of wiring harness on 2007 outlook. I discovered the heading wiring was tightned down between the headlight assemble and the frame. I believe this is the problem with outlook and Acadias. I informed Saturn and I'm on my way to the dealer. Lets see what will happen. The Saturn rep stated that there is no recall but a courtesy replacement of the low beam plug. This is not the problem I told the Rep. It is poor workmanship by a Saturn worker. The right side low beam has been OK from day one. The right side is not wedge between the headlight assemble and the frame like the left side.

2006 Staurn Ion2 Leaking Gas No Recall!!!!

First off let me just say that I will never buy a Saturn anything or a Gm anything!! My 2006 Saturn Ion has a huge gas smell coming from the inside and outside off my car. I call Saturn to report the problem and of course they tell my VIN is not covered in the recall that they currently have for the fuel pump module be cracked some where in the tank. I'm sorry ifthisis such a wide spread problem in so many other states why are some states excluded. Just repaired an ignition system on this car 2 months ago that cost about $400 dollars. I mean I don't understand, if GM certifies their part then why are they defective? Why don't you man up about the defective parts on these cars you are selling to owners. I am so fustrated and I am currently car shopping!!!!!!!

Go figure. A five-year-old car with problems. That's unheard of...cars usually last forever.
